The 2172 m altitude Aichi Pass is the highest altitude point in Japan’s national highway.
From Yudanaka Onsen, start from the street station “Kitashin Province Yamanokachi” (570 m above sea level) and take the national highway 292 (Shiga Kusatsu road) approximately 26 km and climb the altitude difference of about 1,600 m.
